Welcome to the official blogspot for our school newspaper, The Courier. If you are reading this, it means you have decided to be a part of the longest running Junior High/Middle school newspaper in the country. We are entering our 88th year in publication and it promises to be an exciting one.

First of all, we welcome our incoming 6th grade class, many of whom will join our staff this year. Our new editor-in-chief, Hadar Arens, is a highly capable and highly motivated leader who will be available to help our young writers. She is backed by a great editorial staff that is also very committed to excellence. I look forward to working with them.

This year, we will be registering with the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (http://cspa.columbia.edu/), and we look forward to having our newspaper critiqued by this distinguished organization. We are also planning a trip to the New York Times printing facility sometime in the early spring.

Please check this page frequently and listen to the daily student announcements for important Courier information. I look forward to working with you all this year. Let the writing begin!!!
